The Somonauk Bobcats were the 94-75 winner over the Indian Creek Timberwolves when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Somonauk opened the new year with a less-than-successful 64-54 defeat to Indian Creek. Somonauk has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Indian Creek's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jeffrey Probst, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Schrader, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds.
Somonauk's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Indian Creek, they pushed their record up to 12-6 with that win, which was their third straight on the road.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Somonauk won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Sandwich at 7:15 p.m. on January 6th. Indian Creek won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Amboy at 2:15 p.m. on January 6th. Amboy is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.
