Kenesaw is 8-2 against Lawrence-Nelson since February of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Kenesaw Blue Devils will look to defend their home court against the Lawrence-Nelson Raiders at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Kenesaw focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Tuesday.
Kenesaw came into Tuesday's game having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 43-36 victory over Red Cloud.
The match pitted two dominant forwards against one another in Blake Steer and Wyatt Frey. Steer had a great game and dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. Meanwhile, Frey was balling out in the loss, almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, Lawrence-Nelson ended up a good deal behind Axtell on Monday and lost 48-33. Lawrence-Nelson has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Kenesaw pushed their record up to 7-11 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Lawrence-Nelson, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.
Kenesaw didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Lawrence-Nelson in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 45-41 victory.
