Tuscumbia is 1-9 against Linn since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Tuscumbia Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Linn Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Tuscumbia is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
Last Friday, Tuscumbia came up short against Eugene and fell 45-36.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Linn beat St. Elizabeth 41-37 on Friday.
Linn can attribute much of their success to Hannah Hackmann, who scored 12 points along with two steals, and Vivien Baker, who scored eight points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Paige Senevey, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Tuscumbia has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 14 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for Linn, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-10.
Tuscumbia took a serious blow against Linn in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 54-19. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Tuscumbia was down 39-11.
