The Liberty Hawks are taking a road trip to take on the Hillsdale Fighting Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Liberty will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
Liberty is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Foothill a 1-0 shutout.
Not much got past Macie Webster, who gave up just three hits and racked up 11 Ks to keep Foothill off the board. Webster has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Liberty's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ari Aguayo, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Aguayo has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times she's played.
Meanwhile, Hillsdale waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Bearcats.
Lola Jones spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up seven Ks.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Sophia Shelton, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high.
Hillsdale hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive games.
Liberty pushed their record up to 23-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Hillsdale, their record is now 19-9-1.
