It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Orthopaedic had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They slipped by the East Valley Falcons 52-51. Winning may never get old, but the Vipers sure are getting used to it with their 14th in a row.
Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jasper Meija, who to rack up 21 points. That's the most points Meija has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Eero Wolfe, who en route to 14 points and eight rebounds.
Orthopaedic's victory was their 14th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.2 points over those games. As for East Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 17-8.
Coming up, Orthopaedic will square off against New West Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. New West Charter is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.2 points per game this season. East Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
