Desert Hot Springs really took it to Twentynine Palms for the full four quarters, racking up a 50-7 win on the road. The result was nothing new for Desert Hot Springs, who have now won five contests by 26 points or more so far this season.
Desert Hot Springs got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Christian Davis out in front who rushed for 114 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. Davis is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played. Jordan Glaspie also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
The win (which was Desert Hot Springs' third in a row) raised their record to 7-2. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 39 points. As for Twentynine Palms, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Desert Hot Springs will look to defend their home field on Friday against Cathedral City at 7:00 p.m. As for Twentynine Palms, they will head out on the road to face off against Yucca Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Yucca Valley's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Twentynine Palms has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
