After losing to the Pearl River Central Blue Devils the last time they met, the Poplarville Hornets decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Poplarville managed a  41-36 victory over Pearl River Central  on Tuesday. The  victory made it back-to-back wins for Poplarville.
 Poplarville can attribute much of their success to  Janiyah Jones, who  scored 14 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which  Jones has scored at least 25% of Poplarville's points. Another player making a difference was  Tameah Bester, who  scored 7 points.
 Poplarville's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Pearl River Central, they are  on a three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-4.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Poplarville is on the road again  on Friday and play against Picayune at 6:00  p.m.  on December 1st. As for Pearl River Central, they will  square off against Gautier at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday.
