After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Oak Grove, The Central Davidson Spartans were happy to have found some success on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Eastern Guilford and snuck past 30-27.
Eastern Guilford's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jackson Jones, who threw for 212 yards and four touchdowns. Shawn Morris did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 16 receiving yards.
Central Davidson has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season. As for Eastern Guilford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-3.
Central Davidson will head out on the road to face off against Dudley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dudley will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line. Eastern Guilford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
