Basketball Recap: Caleb Petusky Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Jefferson Christian Academy

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Greater Cabarrus S, Forsyth Home Educators was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They strolled past the Jefferson Christian Academy Cardinals with points to spare, taking the game 58-43. This was a revenge game for the Hawks: when they faced off against the Cardinals back in December of 2024, they had to take a 54-52 defeat.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Forsyth Home Educators to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caleb Petusky, who went 5 for 11 en route to 12 points in addition to seven boards and five steals. Those five steals gave Petusky a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Baylin Clodfelter, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.

Forsyth Home Educators' victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-11. As for Jefferson Christian Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9.

Forsyth Home Educators will take on Durham Flight HomeSchool at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Jefferson Christian Academy has already played their next contest (against Auburn Baptist Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
