Hollywood has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge The San Fernando Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, Hollywood was able to grind out a solid win over Bernstein, taking the game 65-58.
Da?Mareae Landry was his usual excellent self, rushing for 344 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 19.1 yards per carry. Alex Ortega was another key contributor, throwing for 265 yards and four touchdowns on only 19 passes.
Meanwhile, San Fernando can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 33-6 win over Reseda. With San Fernando ahead 33-6 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Hollywood's victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-2. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-9 Mendez and 2-8 Belmont (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 33.3% over those games). As for San Fernando, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.
