The Del Mar Dons will be playing at home against the El Primero Lobos at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Del Mar's last six matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Last Thursday, Del Mar kept a clean sheet against Yerba Buena. They had just enough and edged the Aztec Warriors out 1-0. One seems to be a good number for Del Mar as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.
Their one-goal win came courtesy of
Jose Gil, who's now up to seven this season.
In what's become a running theme this season, El Primero gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They blew past Summit Shasta 6-0. The win was just what El Primero needed coming off of a 4-0 loss in their prior matchup.
Del Mar is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3-4 record this season. As for El Primero, they pushed their record up to 11-7-1 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
Everything went Del Mar's way against El Primero in their previous meeting back in November of 2022 as Del Mar made off with a 8-0 victory. Will Del Mar repeat their success, or does El Primero have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
