Tigerton and Bowler are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2019, but not for long. The Tigers are taking a road trip to square off against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tigerton will be strutting in after a victory while Bowler will be coming in after a defeat.
Tigerton took a loss when they played away from home last Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past Marion 3-0.
The win didn't come easy: Marion scored at least 19 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-20, 25-21.

Tigerton got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaelyn Brady out in front who had 24 digs and two aces. Brady is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 18 or more in each of the last eight games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Presley Stewart-Rolfs, who had 13 kills, seven digs, and two blocks.
They weren't the only good servers: Tigerton was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 12 aces in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Bowler didn't have quite enough to beat Marion on Thursday and fell 3-2.
In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Bowler sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-21, 21-25, 25-19, 16-25, 15-11.
Tigerton has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Bowler, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's contest: Tigerton has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 9.2 aces per game. However, it's not like Bowler struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.4 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Tigerton took their win against Bowler in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
