Two dominant guards in Colby Kepler and David Larkin are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Largo Packers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lakewood Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Largo has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 533 points over their last eight matchups.
Largo pushed their score all the way to 65 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 74-65 to East Lake. While losing is never fun, Largo can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 270th, while East Lake is ranked 129th).
Meanwhile, Lakewood's six-game losing streak came to an end on Wednesday. They walked away with a 57-48 victory over St. Petersburg.
Largo's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Lakewood, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-12.
Largo didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Lakewood in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, but they still walked away with a 62-57 victory.
