It was another big night for Jacob Lindstrom, who rushed for 346 yards and seven touchdowns while picking up 13.8 yards per carry, and also threw for 124 yards and a touchdown. Lindstrom has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last three times he's played. Jack Strange was another major influence, as he rushed for 96 yards and ran in a TD.
Meanwhile, Wilbur-Creston-Keller faced Curlew in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Wilbur-Creston-Keller claimed a resounding 56-12 win over Curlew at home. The result was nothing new for Wilbur-Creston-Keller, who have now won nine matches by 20 points or more so far this season.
Wilbur-Creston-Keller's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kalub Dreger led the charge by rushing for 106 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. Dreger is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last nine games he's played. Preston Michel was in the mix as well, providing Wilbur-Creston-Keller with three touchdowns.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Wilbur-Creston-Keller's defense and their five sacks. In that department, Adam Oates was the leader with three sacks.
Naselle's win bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Wilbur-Creston-Keller, they pushed their record up to 10-0 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
Keep an eye on the end zone in Saturday's game as both teams haven't had much trouble getting there this season.
