Bo Dyess tossed a big game, tossing six innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

At the plate, Noah Sawhill was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and one stolen base. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brooks Pender, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Southern Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .525. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, while it was Tuscaloosa Home Educators who put the first runs on the board on Friday, it was Tuscaloosa Christian who put up more. Tuscaloosa Home Educators came up short against Tuscaloosa Christian, falling 17-7.
Cohen Estes was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season. Shelton Milligan was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
The victory got Southern Christian back to even at 9-9. As for Tuscaloosa Home Educators, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.
Southern Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Tuscaloosa Home Educators when the teams last played back in March, sneaking past 5-4. Will the Patriots repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
