The Doctors Charter Hawks on the road again on Thursday and play against the North Miami Beach Chargers at 7:30 p.m. on January 18th. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Doctors Charter suffered their biggest loss since November 29, 2023 on Tuesday. They were beaten by Ransom Everglades 50-21. Doctors Charter was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-5.
Meanwhile, North Miami Beach struggled with assists on Monday (King's Academy had 11 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. North Miami Beach ended up on the wrong side of a rough 61-39 walloping at the hands of King's Academy. While losing is never fun, North Miami Beach can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 426th, while King's Academy is ranked 203rd).
Jonathan Joseph put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored ten points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Dixson Brumaire was another key contributor, scoring five points along with four steals.
Doctors Charter's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for North Miami Beach, they now have a losing record at 8-9.
Doctors Charter was taken down by North Miami Beach 71-27 in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Doctors Charter was down 38-13.
