The Park Rapids Panthers waltzed into their contest on Thursday with eight straight wins but they left with nine. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Aitkin 90-54 at home. Park Rapids has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 20 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Ryan Carroll, who scored 22 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Noah Morris was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with six assists and four steals.
Park Rapids' victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 88.0 points per game. As for Aitkin, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.
Park Rapids will be playing in front of their home fans against Crosby-Ironton at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Aitkin, they will head out on the road to square off against Detroit Lakes at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
