One team took the elevator way up and another took it way down in the power rankings this week. A special shoutout goes to Century's junior Nathan Manning, who scored five total touchdowns in the team's most recent match.
Can't Touch This
Homedale got a 62 - 18 win over Baker last week, and a key reason for the win was senior Mason Kincheloe. Kincheloe ran for 228 yards and also punched in four touchdowns. That performance made Kincheloe one of the best players in the power rankings last week.
This Week's Big Showdown
One of the hottest tickets last week involved the clash between Madison (ranked 6th in ID) and Sky View (ranked 9th in UT). Madison came up short against Sky View, falling 28 - 19. It wasn't all bad, though, since the team's performance bumped it up one place in the power rankings.
Movin on Up
It was onward and upward for Sugar-Salem this week as the team hoisted itself up five places in the power rankings -- the largest rise of the week -- after their most recent game. It had all the answers against Star Valley, winning 36 - 7. Junior Tanner Harris was a big part of the win as his strong performance led the charge (he earned three touchdowns and 62 yards rushing the ball).
No Stoppin 'Em
There were a lot of high-scoring contests in the power rankings last week, but the 92-point effort in this one put it right at the top of the list. Declo breezed past Kimberly with a final score of 58 - 34. Declo did have the odds in its favor, but the team did even better than the MaxPreps state rankings indicated.
