Metro Academy's tournament run continued when they took on North on Saturday. The Metro Academy Mavericks claimed a resounding 68-37 victory over the North RedHawks. The Mavericks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 31 points or more this season.

The win made it two in a row for Metro Academy and bumps their season record up to 14-7. As for North, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.

Metro Academy and North could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings. Metro Academy will face off against Shawnee Mission South at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 63 places (65 vs. 2). Metro Academy is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. Meanwhile, North (ranked 329th) will meet Heights (ranked 13th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
