There's no place like home for the Clairton Bears, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They snuck past Serra Catholic with a 65-59 win on Tuesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Serra Catholic lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Pete Burke, who scored 20 points along with three steals. The game was Burke's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Isiah Petty was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with four steals.
The victory got Clairton back to even at 6-6. As for Serra Catholic, their loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 5-5.
Clairton will face off against Leechburg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Serra Catholic, they will be playing at home against Springdale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
