The Freedom Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Gar-Field 55-12 at home. The victory was just what Freedom needed coming off of a 49-16 loss in their prior matchup.
Freedom's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Keilani Johnson, who scored 14 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Keilana Johnson, who scored 12 points along with seven steals.
Freedom has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Gar-Field, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Potomac Senior the next time they take the court. Gar-Field will head out to face Potomac Senior at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Freedom will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
