The Buffalo Bison had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34 points), and they went ahead and made it nine on Friday. They took down Wheatland 56-38. Buffalo pushed the score to 46-25 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bulldogs cut but never quite recovered from.
Buffalo's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Karly Davis, who scored 19 points along with five steals. Davis has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamry Davis, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Buffalo pushed their record up to 12-1 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Wheatland, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Buffalo won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Trailblazers at 2:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Torrington will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Wyoming Rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Bison are ranked third). As for Wheatland, they will play host again and welcome the Herders, where tip off is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Glenrock is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
