The Trinity Shamrocks waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They blew past Wyomissing 77-51. Given Trinity's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while Wyomissing is ranked 344th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Owen Schlager was his usual excellent self, scoring 32 points along with six rebounds and two steals. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Andre Steele, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Trinity pushed their record up to 17-4 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Wyomissing, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-9.
Trinity will be playing at home against Tunkhannock at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Trinity has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Wyomissing does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
