The Gilman City Hawks entered their tilt with the Worth County Tigers with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Gilman City walked away with a 43-34 victory over Worth County on Friday. For Gilman City, this counts as revenge for the 58-15 defeat Worth County walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2019.
Worth County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kynah Steele, who scored six points along with nine rebounds and five assists. Steele set a new season high mark in blocks with four. The team also got some help courtesy of Kristen Tracy, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Gilman City pushed their record up to 5-4 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Worth County, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Gilman City will head out on the road to face off against North Harrison at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Harrison comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Worth County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Stanberry at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Stanberry has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
