Manning typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Hampton County proved too difficult a challenge. They blew past the Monarchs 56-6. The Hurricanes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by 34 points or more this season.
Hampton County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Karinton Sabb, Tarell Grant, and Dandre Dobson picked up one apiece. Hampton County got some further help from Gavin Polite: he picked up two sacks and made five total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Central's victory bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Hampton County, their win bumped their record up to 10-3.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Central has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 283.8 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Hampton County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 292.3 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Central came up short against Hampton County in their previous matchup back in November of 2022, falling 13-7. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
