The Park Vista Cobras will face off against the South Fork Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
South Fork will be up against a hot Park Vista squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Park Vista skirted past Spanish River 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cobras have posted against the Sharks since March 2, 2021.

Angeline Mergen made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.2 strikeouts per game. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.
In other batting news, Katie Ristau was excellent, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-2. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Keaganne Glidden, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for South Fork, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 win over Martin County on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won eight in a row.
Jada Dames looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Emma Ortiz, who scored a run while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Rachel Kramer, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Park Vista's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-1. As for South Fork, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Park Vista has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.8 hits per game. However, it's not like South Fork struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.4 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Park Vista was able to grind out a solid win over South Fork when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 6-2. Does Park Vista have another victory up their sleeve, or will South Fork turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
