The Pocola Indians can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 68-35 win over Talihina on the road. Pocola's victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Several Golden Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kaidon Potts, who scored eight points along with three steals. Potts is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Landen Griffith, who scored eight points.
Pocola's win bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Talihina, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.
Pocola won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Wister on January 19th. Wister will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 215th, while Pocola is ranked fourth). As for Talihina, Talihina and Panama will face off at 8:30 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
