The Maple Heights Mustangs won the last time they faced the East Tech Scarabs, and things went their way on Thursday too. Maple Heights strolled past East Tech with points to spare, taking the game 47-30. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Maple Heights.
It was another big night for Brooklyn Dillard, who scored 21 points along with two steals. Treasure Cistrunk was another key contributor, scoring six points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Despite the defeat, East Tech saw an underclassman step up: Nadia Pamplin scored 12 points.
Maple Heights is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. As for East Tech, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Maple Heights will square off against Mayfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Tech, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Streetsboro at 7:00 p.m. on February 21st.
