Northland Christian's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They strolled past Kansas City East Christian Academy with points to spare, taking the game 44-25. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Northland Christian also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2017.
Despite the loss, Kansas City East Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Brayisha Avery dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Avery is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.
Northland Christian's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-11. As for Kansas City East Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.
Northland Christian is on the road again on Tuesday and plays Faith Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on February 13th. Northland Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 494th, while Faith Christian Academy is ranked 221st). As for Kansas City East Christian Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 42-25 defeat vs. St. Louis Christian HomeSchool K on the 9th.
