It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Dutch Fork Silver Foxes had no problem doing just that on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 35-10 margin over Gaffney. Considering Dutch Fork has won seven matches by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Leading Dutch Fork to victory were Trenton Lodge and Ethan Offing. Lodge gained 114 total yards and two touchdowns, while Offing rushed for 51 yards and two touchdowns.
The win (which was Dutch Fork's sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.8 points per game. As for Gaffney, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4.
Dutch Fork will face off against J.L. Mann at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. J.L. Mann is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. Gaffney does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
