The Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Red Devils lost against the Oneida Express back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Vernon-Verona-Sherrill fell to Oneida 59-53.
Despite the loss, Vernon-Verona-Sherrill still got an impressive performance from Atticus Roque, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. Roque scored a full 26.4% of Vernon-Verona-Sherrill's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Drummond, who scored 11 points.
Vernon-Verona-Sherrill now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Oneida, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Vernon-Verona-Sherrill will head out on the road to face off against Holland Patent at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Oneida, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Carthage at 7:15 p.m. on December 12th.
