The McQueen Lancers pushed their score all the way to 55 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Galena an easy 75-55 win. McQueen was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Galena apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Despite the defeat, McQueen saw an underclassman step up: Kade Snyder dropped a double-double on 30 points and 13 rebounds. The match was Snyder's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Lucas Fabri was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
McQueen has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season. As for Galena, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McQueen will square off against Bishop Manogue at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Galena is on the road again on Thursday and play against Spanish Springs at 7:00 p.m. on December 21st. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Spanish Springs is ranked 45th, while Galena is ranked 43rd).
