The Northwestern Tigers will head out to take on the Manchester Squires at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Northwestern will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
On Tuesday, Northwestern was able to grind out a solid victory over Logansport, taking the game 5-2.

Kade Dill was excellent, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Northwestern kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Manchester hadn't done well against Peru recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Squires had just enough and edged out the Tigers 9-8. Nine seems to be a good number for the Squires as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Harper Sturtsman made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up seven earned (and one unearned) runs off 11 hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Reiss Gaerte, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Manchester's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-1 (and 3-4 when he doesn't). Brendyn Mugford was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Northwestern's record is now 11-3. As for Manchester, their record now sits at 7-5.
Northwestern skirted past Manchester 4-2 in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
