After only 23 points in their last contest, Armwood made sure to put some points up on the board against Viera on Saturday. The Armwood Hawks were the clear victor by a 61-39 margin over the Viera Hawks. Armwood has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 22 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Viera saw an underclassman step up: freshman Demi Reck posted 15 points. Reck's afternoon made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Grace Nixon, who put up eight points.

Armwood pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.2 points per game. As for Viera, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season.

Armwood will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Hillsborough at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Armwood's defense has only allowed 28.5 points per game this season, so Hillsborough's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Viera, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 61-59 defeat against Medgar Evers College Prep on the 23rd.
