The Brooks County Trojans had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Pelham by a score of 51-41 on Friday. This was payback for Brooks County, who suffered a 45-30 loss the last time these two teams met.
Leading Brooks County to victory were Tamiah Gordon and Imani Hall. Gordon dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds, while Hall scored 27 points along with two steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Hall has scored at least a third of Brooks County's points. Another player making a difference was Rah'Asia Frazier, who scored four points along with two steals.
Brooks County's win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Pelham, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brooks County will take on Thomasville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pelham, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Brooks County at 6:00 p.m.
