Celebration's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ricardo Baro, who scored 18 points along with three steals. Baro continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendley Jean, who scored seven points along with ten rebounds and three steals.
Travon Graves was his usual excellent self, scoring 26 points along with six rebounds and five assists for Cocoa. That makes it four consecutive games in which Graves has scored at least 25% of Cocoa's points. Another player making a difference was Corey Peterson , who scored 14 points.
Celebration's loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-6. As for Cocoa, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Celebration will square off against Tohopekaliga at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Tohopekaliga is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Cocoa, they will head out on the road to face off against Hope Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hope Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 835 points over their last 12 matches.
