Southern is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Pendleton County a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The Southern Rams will be playing at home against the Pendleton County Wildcat at 4:30 p.m.
Allegany hit Southern with a five-run first inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Rams took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Campers.

Reece Tasker and Andrew McCartney did some serious damage despite the final result: Tasker went 2-for-3 with one home run, while McCartney went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Southern is 2-1 when Tasker posts one or more home runs, but 5-6 otherwise.
Meanwhile, Pendleton County never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over Harman. The result was nothing new for the Wildcat, who have now won six games by 14 runs or more so far this season.
Cohen Hiett was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three). He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Cayden Boone looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
Back at the plate, Landon Davis was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Ty Armentrout was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.
Pendleton County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in five consecutive matchups.
Pendleton County's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Southern, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.
