After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tri-State Christian, the Avon Grove Charter Wolves were happy to have found some success on Monday. They secured a 44-40 W over Fellowship of Christian Athletes. This was payback for Avon Grove Charter, who suffered a 65-64 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Avon Grove Charter was led to victory by Kamran Masih and Xavier London. Masih scored eight points along with 16 rebounds and three steals, while London scored 15 points along with nine rebounds. Masih continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Asa Stevens-Lyons was another key contributor, scoring six points along with three steals.
Avon Grove Charter's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-7. As for Fellowship of Christian Athletes, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Avon Grove Charter won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Aquinas Academy at 4:00 p.m. on January 23rd. As for Fellowship of Christian Athletes, they will head out on the road to square off against Avon Grove Charter at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
