The Immaculate Conception Lions had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Caldwell 78-27 on the road. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Immaculate Conception also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Immaculate Conception got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mia Lewis out in front who scored 18 points along with eight steals. Another player making a difference was Nila Giraud, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds.
Immaculate Conception's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Caldwell, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Immaculate Conception will head out on the road to face off against Mount St. Dominic Academy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Caldwell will be home for the holidays to greet Newark Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
