The Westminster Wolves will head out on the road to square off against the Riverdale Ridge Ravens at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Westminster is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.
Westminster came out on top against Prairie View on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run seventh inning. The Wolves took their contest against the Thunderhawks 10-6. The game was the first time the Wolves have beaten the Thunderhawks on their field since May 6, 2017.
Adrian Moreno was excellent, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with six stolen bases and three runs. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game. Tony sisneros also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
Westminster was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .517. They are 4-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Riverdale Ridge sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over Centaurus on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Ravens in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won three in a row.
Riverdale Ridge gave Chase Eriksen the start and clearly made the right call: he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Eriksen also tossed no walks, which is notable because the Ravens are 3-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 3-4 otherwise.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Evan Estes, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Dominick Guadagnoli, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Riverdale Ridge now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Westminster, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 5-5.
Westminster suffered a grim 12-2 defeat to Riverdale Ridge in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Can the Wolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
