The North Hagerstown Hubs entered their tilt with the South Hagerstown Rebels with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. North Hagerstown sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 67-64 win over South Hagerstown on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Nas Keyes was his usual excellent self, scoring 30 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. The game was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. Will Bonds was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with five rebounds.
North Hagerstown pushed their record up to 3-1 with that victory, which was their third straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.3 points per game. As for South Hagerstown, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Hagerstown will take on Urbana at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Urbana has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-2 during that stretch of close contests. As for South Hagerstown, they will head out on the road to face off against Linganore at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
