The Fort Towson Tigers suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Monday. They were beaten by Wright City 73-36. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Fort Towson in their matchups with Wright City: they've now lost eight in a row.
Wright City was led to victory by Braileigh Threadgill and Madison Carter. Threadgill dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds, while Carter scored 25 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Threadgill is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Mia Reich, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Fort Towson has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season. As for Wright City, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fort Towson will take on Valliant at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wright City, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Antlers at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Antlers will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 327th, while Wright City is ranked 25th).
