After flying high against the Jesus Chapel Chargers on Friday, the El Paso HomeSchool Panthers came back down to earth. El Paso HomeSchool fell just short of Fort Hancock by a score of 56-53. El Paso HomeSchool has not had much luck with Fort Hancock recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brandon Walls, who scored 12 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 steals. Walls has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Gonzalez, who scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals.
El Paso HomeSchool's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Fort Hancock, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
El Paso HomeSchool will head out on the road to face off against Job Corps at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort Hancock is on the road again on Saturday and play against Van Horn at 1:30 p.m. on December 2nd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (Van Horn is ranked 797th, while Fort Hancock is ranked 802nd).
