The Valley Christian Trojans will take on the Crismon Rattlers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Valley Christian is coming into the match hot, having won their last 11 games.
On Wednesday, Valley Christian made easy work of Apache Junction and carried off a 14-4 win. Considering the Trojans have won 17 contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Devin Morganfield looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off only two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Ryan Sanchez was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Berkeley Kaiser, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.
Valley Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .421. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .320 or higher in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Crismon has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.48 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Wednesday. They took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of ALA - Queen Creek.
Preston Hammond made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Herzberg, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Valley Christian's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.8 runs over those games. As for Crismon, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 19-6 record this season.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Valley Christian hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.1 home runs per game. However, it's not like Crismon struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.6 home runs.
