The Wilson Area Warriors will head out on the road to challenge the Bethlehem Catholic Hawks at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Wilson Area is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.
Wilson Area took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They never let Notre Dame get on the board and left with a 24-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won five in a row.

Tessa Fredericks made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Fredericks was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Sabrena Espinosa and Abymarie Colon did most of the damage at the plate: Espinosa got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four RBI and two runs, while Colon got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs Colon has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Carli Snyder, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three RBI and two runs.
Wilson Area always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .912. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Bethlehem Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Easton Area, falling 10-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Hawks have suffered against the Rovers since April 6, 2021.
Bethlehem Catholic saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Morgan Ostrosky, who went 1-for-2 with one double.
The win got Wilson Area back to even at 10-10. As for Bethlehem Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-13.
Bethlehem Catholic's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Wilson Area has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .466. It's a different story for Bethlehem Catholic, though, as they've only averaged .345. Will they be able to contain Wilson Area's hitters?
Wilson Area might still be hurting after the 13-1 loss they got from Bethlehem Catholic when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
