The St. Thomas More Chancellors couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They received a tough blow on Thursday as they fell 70-54 to Capital Prep Harbor.
Capital Prep Harbor's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jacob Henderson, who scored 28 points along with 7 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Henderson has scored at least 25% of Capital Prep Harbor's points. Another player making a difference was Edward Williams, who scored 19 points along with 5 steals.
St. Thomas More's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Capital Prep Harbor, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Thomas More will square off against Rocky Hill Country Day at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Capital Prep Harbor will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Central Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 11th.
