After two games on the road, Hampton Park Christian is heading back home. They will take on the Greenville Classical Academy Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Hampton Park Christian is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Lions in South Carolina (the are ranked 63rd, while the Lions are ranked 218th).
In what's become a running theme this season, Hampton Park Christian gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. Everything went their way against Upstate HomeSchool as Hampton Park Christian made off with a 59-38 victory. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-13.
Seth Moeder and Trevor Gearhart were among the main playmakers for Hampton Park Christian as the former almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds and the latter dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. Gearhart has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 11 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Gantt, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Greenville Classical Academy came up short against the Warriors on Friday and fell 64-52. Greenville Classical Academy has not had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Hampton Park Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Greenville Classical Academy, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-9.
Hampton Park Christian was able to grind out a solid win over the Lions in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, winning 61-51. Will Hampton Park Christian repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
