AAA Region 3 recap Oct. 3, 2012
Jefferson County moved up to 165 from 213 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in AAA Region 3. The Warriors climbed the ranks as a result of a 33-0 win over Wesleyan.
Jefferson County took down the Wolves 33-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Swainsboro's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Tigers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Dylan Poole has thrown for 193 yards this season, while Stephen Gomez has two catches for 86 yards. Jemerico Bell leads the league in rushing with 390 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Dodge County takes on J.B. Arnold's team. As it stands, the Indians are in fourth, while the Warriors are in fifth.
Jefferson County made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,088 from 5,486. The improvement came about via a 33-0 victory over Wesleyan last week.
