The Cleveland Rams will head out on the road to square off against the Garner Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cleveland is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
Last Tuesday, Cleveland had to suffer through a rough 82-51 loss at the hands of Willow Spring.
James Harris put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 13 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Cam Walters, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Garner had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.8 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Fuquay - Varina as Garner made off with a 78-53 win. Given Garner's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 60th, while Fuquay - Varina is ranked 408th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Cleveland now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Garner, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.
Cleveland couldn't quite finish off Garner in their previous matchup back in January and fell 78-76. Can Cleveland avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
