Big Ten recap November 19, 2013
Bridgeport added to the longest winning streak in Big Ten this week by beating Roane County, 54-20. This was the team's ninth consecutive win.
Fairmont was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after besting Keyser. The Polar Bears came in at 19 in the state poll after placing at number 31 last week.
Bridgeport's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Anthony Bonamico chipped in 233 yards.
Bonamico was a beast in the backfield as Josh Nicewarner's team defeated the Raiders.
Bonamico was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 11 carries, he ran for 233 yards as the Indians defeated Roane County. Anthony Caldera also contributed to the rushing game with 43 yards on the ground.
Grafton's Cole Collins and Tyler Moore have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-10 quarterback Collins has thrown for 1,113 yards this season, while Moore has 32 catches for 393 yards. Bonamico from Bridgeport leads the league in rushing with 1,766 yards.
The marquee game in Big Ten this week will be the clash between the Indians and Fairmont. Bridgeport enters the game ranked 11th in the state, while the Polar Bears ranks 19th.
Caldera of the the Indians is only 81 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 94 carries Caldera has put up 919 yards this year.
Bridgeport took down Tom Hardman's team 54-20 last week, the largest margin of any game. Bonamico in the win.
